Mindful Eating

October, 2017

If you haven’t heard of it, mindful eating refers to taking the time to be aware of the process of eating. Noticing the taste, texture and smells of foods as we eat them as well as being aware of the hunger and fullness feelings in our bodies.

Mindful Eating is:

A less reactive way of eating; more responsive to what your body is telling you. Taking the time to stop and think about what you're eating and why. This time gives you time to make a choice.

Listening to hunger and fullness signals. Enjoying the food that you're eating for the taste and eating experience as well as the way it makes your body feel nourished.

Why not try really thinking about the taste, texture and smell of the food next time you're eating? You might be surprised. To find out more information on Mindful Eating and how it can help you give me a call or email; or start by checking out these resources:
